Level 2 Counselling Skills

This course is suitable for those wanting to learn more about the skills and knowledge required to engage in counselling skills and to understand the different approaches involved. The qualification would be useful for anyone who would like to develop their use of counselling skills for use in either work or in a personal capacity.This course will take 8 weeks to complete and consists of 2 written assessments plus a practical piece of work which must be videoed or observed by someone qualified to give a witness statement . The course will introduce learners to the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work and some of the approaches that underpin the use of these skills.
You will be required to demonstrate an ability to use some of the core skills involved in a helping relationship. Please Click on How Assessed for important information.

This course is currently being subsidised by the college so that you can enrol for the course free of charge.

Courses are only free to people who have lived in England for the past 3 yrs, are aged 19 years or over and are not currently accessing any other government funded training.

Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.
