Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.

According to the Health & Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) a total of 173,000 safeguarding alerts and 112,000 safeguarding referrals were reported for vulnerable adults in England.
The number of referrals has increased by 4 per cent and the most common types of abuse reported in referrals involved physical abuse and neglect.
Safeguarding adults and upholding the dignity of those accessing health and social care services are key principles of the sector and this course is designed to support individuals currently working in the adult Health and Social Care sectors to share good practice.
Each candidate is required to give written responses to an assessment booklet. This can be either handwritten in the booklet itself or completed using an electronic template of the booklet.
You will be required to submit 4 assessments each taking 4 weeks to complete.
