This course is only available to learners over the age of 19, as recommended by the course specification. Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 2 or equivalent.
As part of achieving this qualification you will need to complete at least one detailed session plan as well as delivering the plan so it is strongly recommended that you only consider undertaking this course if you are, or have previously been, in a role that requires you to provide information and guidance or information and advice and can deliver a group session plan
If you are unsure of your level of literacy please read the attached instructions to undertake a literacy assessment on line.
This will take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. Instructions are available here
Learners will gain an understanding in the provision of information, advice or guidance that will enable them to complete their role as providers of advice more effectively.
This qualification seeks to underpin the practice of those who may deliver information, advice or guidance as part of their role while not employed primarily in that capacity.
Each candidate is required to give written responses to an assessment booklet. This can be either handwritten in the booklet itself or completed using an electronic template of the booklet.
You will be required to submit 5 assessments each taking 4 weeks to complete.
