Level 2 Principles of Prevention and Control of Infection in Health Care Settings

This qualification aims to help learners understand the meaning and vital importance of infection control, the causes of infections, the conditions in which they thrive and the ways that they can be spread, as well as methods used to prevent and control any spread of infection.This course will take 8 weeks to complete and consists of 2 written assessments.

This course is currently being subsidised by the college so that you can enrol for the course free of charge.

Courses are only free to people who have lived in England for the past 3 yrs, are aged 19 years or over and are not currently accessing any other government funded training.

  • UNIT 4: Principles of infection prevention and control in a health care setting

Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.

This will take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.
